A video game is a game that involves interaction with a user interface to generate visual feedback on a video device. The word video in video game traditionally referred to a raster display device. However, with the popular use of the term "video game", it now implies any type of display device. The electronic systems used to play video games are known as platforms; examples of these are personal computers and video game consoles. These platforms are broad in range, from large computers to small handheld devices. Specialized video games such as arcade games, while previously common, have gradually declined in use.

holds all our rock gear/////wish I had ordered 2 when $99 so I would have had 1 for guitar hero kit also.....not sure why we have both It works very well to hold 1 drum set 2 guitars 2 microphones and the actual band games. very satisfied with this product for declutter and storage. looks nice as well

We finally got one of these and all the Xbox Guitar Hero stuff fits right into it! We have two guitars and our own mic stand so it's a little tight but it all fits and it works great as a foot rest for the sofa!

I got this item as a Christmas gift and was disappointed when one of the top hinges had a screw stripped and the lid would not open and close properly. The instruction sheet listed a limited warranty and said to contact Cohesion at the toll-free number listed to obtain authorization to return the product. I tried the toll free number off and on for a month and every time I called I got a recording that said they would return calls withing 24 hours. However, when I tried to leave my name and number, the recording would say "mailbox is full". I never could get in touch with them and there was no physical address listed on the instruction/warranty page.

This little game storage ottoman is a great buy. It holds all my Guitar Hero gear plus a couple small throw blankets. With enough room for a dozen or so games. It's built very sturdy and looks pretty classy as well. My 2 1/2 year old loves it as well, she sits and lays on it more than she does the couches. In short, this ottoman is perfect for smaller gaming areas while still affording plenty of space for your gaming needs. Buy one and enjoy.

I bought this to store all of my kids band hero stuff and it works, looks nice, and gets the drum set, guitar, microphone, and remotes etc. off the floor of our family room. The only down side for me is I am the only one who puts it away (just like everything else in our house). You do have to slightly take the drum set apart but it's not a big deal.

Wow. What a classic game. As the other poster mentioned, there is a quickdraw minor bug still on the game. Im guessing it was hardcoded into all versions of the game, including the PC and Wii versions. Anyways, this is a great game when you want to play as a cowboy and shoot at video's of people on the screen.

Wow, this collection brings me back. It works just as it did when I first played Mad Dog Mcree over a decade ago. It also has the same problems. Sometimes the quickdraw sequences don't respond quickly and the acting of the characters is like a B movie. All in all it's a decent live-action shooter.

I purchased these screw drivers on March first and they were at my door by March 3rd. Fast shipping and I received a very small bitted precision phillips head screw driver and a tri-wing screw driver. Purpose: I bought these because I needed a tri-wing to replace my Wii DVD drive. Background: I'm a computer geek so I've ripped apart literally hundreds of laptops and am used to precision tools. (I worked for a computer company and was certified on all IBM, Toshiba, HP, and Dell laptops Now, these 2 tools will work perfectly to remove the case from your Wii. The issue that everyone has complained about is when they use the tri-wing screw driver on the 4 screws that hold the dvd drive in place. These 4 screws are torqued down very tight to prevent the dvd drive from vibrating them loose and causing damage. I used a small magnetized flat head screw driver to remove these. In my experience, phillips head screws always strip when they are torqued down tightly. Using a flat head works much better for removing. It also gives you 2 chances to remove the screws if they start to strip. Magnetizing your flat head will make it much easier to put the screws back in. Just a regular refrigerator magnet swiped across the blade a few times will do the trick. I used these instructions before taking apart my Wii: [...] Quality: These are better than my companion tools. Are they perfect? No. I never expect precision screw drivers to last. They get lost, broken, or altered all the time. Summary: The low rating is mostly from people who used the tri-head on the dvd drive screws. Follow my lead and use a flat head on those screws and you will be just fine.

Triwing stripped itself and the screws. Was not the right size for the ds lite as stated. Am very disappointed.

Triwing tip chipped and bent on the first screw I tried to remove. Poor quality.

I was able to remove two silver tri-wing screws but when I tried to remove the black tri-wing screws, the screwdriver itself stripped. Now I can't put back the silver tri-wing screws.

I had bought this set to repair various Nintendo products I own and it got the job done. However, there were a few minor problems using the tri-wing screwdriver. As many other reviews have mentioned that the screw driver is prone to rounding the screws. This is true because the tip of the driver is too narrow and sharp and it dose not fit snug with the screws. Lucky I found a "fix" to remedy this problem and prevent rounded(damaged) screws. Simply, just reduce the tip with a metal file. After carefully filing down the tip in very small increments , the tri-wing screw driver now fits properly and I am now able to use it properly without fear of rounding and screws. I really hope the manufacture will fix this problem in later batches.

Stripping screws on small electronics is a big worry. These screwdrivers are designed with that consideration in mind. Both screwdriers have a spin cap on the end, which allows you to apply more pressure with the palm of your hand while you are turning the screwdriver with your fingers...

It did the job i needed it for however if you want to save yourself a headache just send off your nintendo to get it repaired.

This is the same model tri-wing that I had the misfortune to buy. Completely stripped two screws immediately. Absolute junk. Avoid

This is the same tool included with the replacement Nintendo DS Lite shell I just finished installing. The new shell was great, but this tool is JUNK. If you can successfully remove and reinstall the screws on one unit, one time, without stripping the heads and/or the tip of the tool, count yourself lucky.

It doesn't fit the screws exactly, but it's close. If you apply pressure and are very careful, you can get the screws in and out without slippage.

this tool is horrific. all it succeeded in doing was stripping the screws down to nothing~ stay away.

I am a Harry Potter fan and have loved the movies. They followed closely to the book on some things, but to me key parts were left out. So much info on what made Voldemort tick was in many of the "flashback/memories" collected that we did not get to see. SO much that is important to the final installment. And don't get me started on how disappointing the ending was. WHAT happened to the big fight scene at the school, the chaos, which was done so well in the 5th movie!? I understand you have to cut things out, but they could have left out the made up fight at the Weasleys. Ok if you didn't read the books, but most people following the movies have been following the books.

Me being an antagonist lover, I loved this movie. First we see Snape clarifying his loyalty to the dark lord VOLDEMORT (That's right I said it, heheh) Then we see the weasley's house get destroyed, which I thought was a brutal middle finger to the protagonists, heheheheh. I loved this movie because it was darker and more sinister than the other Harry Potter films. Also I don't read the books, so maybe that's why I don't see any flaws in this film. GO LORD VOLDEMORT (HA, I said his name again)

This franchise is one of the few that can safely refute the old adage that sequels are never as good as the original. Indeed, it's something of an amazement how the Potter franchise has managed to maintain such quality of filmmaking after so many sequels. I think that's why interest is still so high for these films after so many years and probably why the final book is being split into 2 films, to milk it for all they can - not to imply the story isn't worth it; I'm glad their are two more films to look forward to rather than just one. But, as with most of the other larger book translations (eg. Goblet of Fire) there was a lot of interesting moments cut from the film rendition that we can only hope may someday be restored in the eventual ultimate BD editions ala the first two films (assuming they were actually shot). As is, the sixth film in the Potter franchise plays more like a filler to build anticipation for the final installments, than a self-contained story with a unique and notable purpose of its own. The series has become progressively darker and more mature with each installment and this is no exception. Gone is much of the innocense and naive wonder that built this esoteric cobblestone world. But for those of us so enthralled, seeing it visually imagined as capably, dare I say, brilliantly, can be reward enough (assuming the final chapters make up for the story that this one lacks) even if there is little payoff in the end. As for the BD, I think Warner's authoring has gradually improved over the past couple of years. The days of their masters being biased for the limitations of the DVD format seems to be drifting further and further behind - at least for new release titles. Most of their catalog HD offerings still tend to be a little lacking in detail - often more than a little. But with films that have been recently mastered like this one, there's little reason to complain, based on 1080p/24 projection onto a 100" screen (smaller displays will no doubt be more foregiving, just as larger projected images could magnify problems I didn't notice or at least didn't find too cumbersome).

This item came exactly as described and shipped super fast. I'd recommend this seller and would do business with them again.

This is a great Movie! Some changes from the book but all in all a winner if you love Harry! The characters are becoming more mature with the seriousness of the threat of the deatheaters. My 'used' DVD arrived looking just like one off the shelf!

In some ways, "Sorcerer's Stone" is the best Harry Potter movie. It's light enough for kids, but the story is engaging enough for adults. The beginning of the film really captures the magical world of wizardry, from the goblins to the first quidditch game. It stands well enough alone as a movie - you don't really need to know much about Harry Potter before watching it. The kids are excellent actors. Rewatching it again after many, many years, I was impressed with the range of young Ron's emotions (by contrast, I find his later character a bit boring and pouty). They're adorable and frankly well cast. Some of the later Harry Potter films are better produced and have better special effects, but few are so satisfying.

Works great. Hooked it up to a second tv so the Wii box can moved back and forth without having to disconnect everything else.

We enjoy the WII, which is great. Like many others, I damaged the Nintendo factory sensor bar with the vacuum. There is nothing postive to say about this cheap receiver bar. The problems are: 1. Jerky as all get-out. Appears to have a harder time detecting the direction-position-motion of the WII remote that the Nintendo version did. 2. Short range - works best at 5 feet, erratic at 7 feet and fails utterly by the time you get 9 feet away from this receiver bar. 3. Others who complained about crappy adhesive are right: I had to use my own double-sided tape to make it work. The weird stuff included as an adhesive pad is worthless. I'm trying to avoid the troublesome wireless receiver bar, but I may have no choice. This just doesn't work unless you get right up close to the screen. Junk.

Well. I got the sensor bar for my girlfriend. And it works perfectly fine. Thanks.

I was one of those that had the vacum gobble up the chord on my original sensor. I was a little worried when I read some of the reviews here but it works just like the original. I've had this for two months now and it works just fine.

The product was shipped quickly and arrived in good condition. The shipping seemed a little high in comparison to the cost of the item. Otherwise I was completely satisfied.

Cisco SPA3102 Voice Gateway with Router Cisco SPA3102 Voice Gateway with Router

Reviews

This product works great, and luckily I found detailed instructions on how to configure this thing to work with my Asterisk server. Currently use it to make a Google Voice phone call with a traditional phone.

This is a great product with tons of features (which actually work)! I bought the second one (for a different location) after using the first one for six months without any problems. I use both the ATA and the VOIP to PSTN gateway features on these which have been working fine.

The SPA3102 gives you both an FXS port (for a phone) and an FXO port (for a phone line), it's two devices in one box. Each device can operate independently or can be made to interact with the other. It's great for a start-up VoIP system where you want to have one phone and access to one phone line from the PSTN. Be aware that this is NOT a device that is made for plug and play. You have to know what you are doing. It is an extremely flexible device with MANY options. Which means it can be overwhelming to a beginner. A lot of the options can be left at default but you still need a basic (at least) understanding of networking, SIP and VoIP to get this working with a provider or VoIP PBX. If you know what you are doing, this unit can be up and running in 10 minutes, otherwise you'd better have a lot of patience. This unit is the successor to the SPA3000, first released by Sipura, which was bought by Linksys, then Cisco. they added a few more features upgraded firmware AND a router. Most people will already have a router on their system and will probably just disable this feature and use the second Ethernet jack in bridge mode allowing a second device to be plugged in, saving a port on your router or switch. All in all a great unit, but not made for the inexperienced, do some research if you aren't quite sure if this is for you, there is a lot of info on line

Although VoIP is slowly moving more and more mainstream, a device as flexible and as configurable as the Linksys SPA3102 is not for anyone who either is not comfortable with programming the ATA with your VoIP provider's SIP settings or coming up with an approprate dial plan for your device that is compatible with your provider. With that as a caveat.... This device is PHENOMENAL! I love the potential for PSTN dialing (either by prefixing your calls with a code or by programming certain numbers--like 911--to go directly through the PSTN line). By manipulating the dial plan, you can also program certain key combos (*101 for example) to speed-dial certain numbers. You can program the SPA3102 to allow yourself to dial into your device via your VoIP line and then subsequently dial out the PSTN line (using a number of authentication methods including caller id, PIN, etc.). Likewise, you can set it up to allow yourself to dial into yoru device via your PSTN line and then subsequently dial out the VoIP line (one way to save on long distance?). It's robust, reliable and cheap (just $10-20 more than a PAP2T-NA). Just be prepared to do a lot of googling and "self tech-support"! In all seriousness, there is a wealth of information out there on the SPA3102. It is a popular device for VoIP users and is often the BYOD (bring your own device) of choice!

I generally like this product, but there's one problem with it. Likes: Lots of options, VOIP stuff (the most important stuff) works fine. Dislikes: The PSTN functionality is very poor. If the unit has no power, it just passes the PSTN connection through, which is fine. Kind of a 'fallback' mode if there's an electrical outage. However, if its powered on, the PSTN audio has a distinct and annoying echo. You can mitigate it a little by tweaking the "Echo Cancellation" settings, but you won't get it to go away, and it was enough for me to decide just to ditch the PSTN line and go VOIP only.

Not quite sure if it is an advantage buying this "designed" for Nintendo, but it does the job with no complains. A little overpriced comparred to regular 8GB SD card (if there is any difference?).

Well, by th time I purchased this memory I was completly sure I could store th games I had for nintendo Dsi, and play them on my nintendo. But, it wasnt!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to purchase a R4, so I can store n play my games.....!!!!!! This memory only works for pictures n music...........

When it has came down to the power of the Nintendo DSi, there are so many ways you can get you gameplay, not only from storing great pictures you can make, but from all the games you can download online from the Nintendo DSi Shop. That can comes well, when you get so many great games, but when there is so much room already stored in the Nintendo DSi, you honestly would need a strong memory card to store all your data. That comes well with this Sandisk SDHC Memory Card, specially made for the Nintendo DSi. The memory card works like a charm where you can store all the great photos you can make from your time on the go, to storing all the great DSi Shop titles like Art Style: Aquia and Dr. Mario Express. Not only that, but it also works great for when you want to bring in your memory card in to print up and develop your photos for print-up. At its price, I absolutely recommend this as a must have for anyone whom wants a great way to store and play all your favorite Nintendo DSi memories and games with extra storage to match. Sony SB-V31G Game and Video Selector with 3-Component Functionality Sony SB-V31G Game and Video Selector with 3-Component Functionality

Reviews

Like the title says, it looks stupid but works great. I only use the audio for this. My PS3, TV, and computer are hooked to my audio amplifier through this. If I want to switch the speakers to the (PS3/Cable/Antenna), I turn this ugly looking knob right and if I want to switch speakers to the computer, I turn that ugly knob left. They should make it smaller and change the color to black. The gray looks out of place except maybe by a PSOne. Also the knob has a tiny dot on the top which tells you which port you're using. I had to use a sharpie to draw a larger dot indicator.

I needed to be able to run three components (DVD player, VCR, and computer) into my stereo system. The stereo is small and it's old, but it is of good quality and has great sound and speakers. But it only has one set of audio inputs on the back. I am able to run the three components into the Sony Selector, and then run the one output to my little stereo. I only use the audio inputs and outputs on the device. It works just as I had hoped. One minor negative is that I can not see which device the dial is turned to. There is a red indicator but it's too tiny for my sorry eyes so I used a Sharpie pen to label it and now I can easily see where to turn the dial. Not even worth withholding a star. So happy to have found this item because it's made my life nicer.

This was shipped very quickly and works exactly as it is supposed to work. I considered buying a generic brand that was cheaper, but I knew I could trust Sony, so I paid the little bit extra and I have not been disappointed. It is really simple and the video and sound quality transferred are excellent.

This is an excellent choice if you want a simple component selector device. Easy to use, compact and solid.

I ordered two of these items for my make-shift home theater system, and they're everything I expected. As at least one reviewer mentioned, contrary to the packaging, they can switch audio signals without any video connection. Similarly, even though "In" and "Out" connections are labelled, signal can be passed in either direction, letting you split either your output or input. (I currently have one sending my computer's audio signal to one of three sets of speakers, and the other switching one of the speakers' input between the computer audio and game console audio.) The product is just about as compact as it can get for switching up to 9 signals (6 audio and 3 video), and the color is actually a darker grey than the picture suggests (which I like). It also doesn't appear to degrade audio quality noticably, even going through two switches (admittedly, I'm not an audiophile). My two complaints are that the selection knob can be difficult to turn, and the red marker that tells which input / output is selected can be difficult to distinguish in poor lighting. However, the construction is quite sturdy; I can't see this item breaking down anytime soon. Overall, I highly recommend this product to people looking for a compact, simple audio / video switcher. (Note: if you want to switch signals on a 3.5mm stereo connection, you'll have to purchase cables to split the signal to dual rca left and right signals, which is what I'm doing.)

I was impressed with this product, it's size will fit in your hand and takes no electric to use. I use this to switch between my three game consoles so I can have all three connected to my home theater system. The size makes it easy to place on a table where the game consoles are, which it takes up very little space. I recommend it for anyone with multiple gaming systems. My 9yr old can even use it.

We use this on our analog tv. We have a vcr, dvd, and a playstation connected to it. It works great.NEW Audio Video AV A/V RCA Video Game Selector Switch For PS2 Xbox DVD

Easy to use and does what it should. less than 5 minutes to set up and hours of frustration gone.

I thought this little device was going to be the answer to my prayers BUT it only came pretty close. I was so tired of changing the cables on the back of the tv every time we wanted to switch back and forth from the Wii to the DVD player. The problem with this gadget is I still have to switch a button on it back and forth from the DVD to the Wii. I thought I would be able to use all the products at once theoretically, without moving anything. But no, I still have to go behind the tv and move a switch, at least it's easier then unplugging and plugging all the colored cables in.

This simple AV selector is ideal for people using multiple game consoles (especially for TV's with only one RCA input). The selector is practical and is a great value at $10. It was nice that it includes an approx. 6ft RCA AV cable to run from the switch to the TV (or receiver). No more hassle with switching cables behind the TV.

I thought this game was going to be terrible with ugly graphics, but it's the complete opposite. This game was the highpoint of our Christmas 08. The animals are adorable, and the minigames are fun and simple. They gave quite a good selection of pets to choose from, so you won't get bored using the same pet over and over. The graphics are great, and the game can keep you entertained for a few hours. The problem is, the Wii version is not a multiplayer game, which I thought was disappointing. Also, the simplicity of this game makes it very easy to beat, and if you work fast enough, you'll have this game completed in a few hours. Also, once you beat the game, there is not really enough left to do, except play the same minigames over and over (which gets tedious and repetitive after some time) and buying items you didn't get beforehand. Overall, this is a suprisingly fun game, and I recommend it!

My 6-year old daughter received this game when she was five. She still enjoys playing it! She recently received Littlest Pet Shop Friends, which she finished very quickly. I would recommend this game over Littlest Pet Shop Friends. Both games are very cute and fun, but the newer game seems shorter.

My 4 year old daughter LOVES this game!!! We looked and looked for a game that was just for her and THIS IS IT!!! It took one time for me to sit with her and show her how, but now she can do it all by herself. She giggles the whole time she plays it. She feeds, dresses, scratches and plays with her pets. As she keeps them happy, more pets come by train to her pet shop. She loves it! She has dressed up all her little pets in princess crowns. The graphics are adorable and the games are fun and just right for her. My son is into Lego Star Wars, now she has one she can do too. (even my 6 year old boy is wanting a turn playing with these cute pets and dressing them up :) This has been one of my best Wii purchases for small children!

I bought this game as a gift for my 2 girls (ages 4 and 6) and they seem to love it. The animation is very cute and they love being able to dress up their pets. However, there are soooo many boxes that pop up giving instructions, so if your child cannot read, this would NOT be a game they could play themselves. I sat down and played with my 4 year old and read her the instructions as they popped up, but even then, there were so many boxes and "thought bubbles" to click on to get where you are supposed to go and buy what you are supposed to buy, I can see how it could be very confusing! We also have the Barbie riding camp game, and while the instructions pop up on the screen, they are also played audibly so even if the child cannot read they can still play independently. My girls do love this LPS game, it has a fun concept, my six year old can play just fine, but I only give it three stars due to the reading aspect, and also what seems like complicated game play.

I'm always on the lookout for Wii games that my 5-year-old granddaughter can play. This has been the biggest hit yet! She loves this game. She has played it through numerous times - collecting all the pets then starting over again. She loves dressing the pets and taking care of them. You can quickly switch from one pet to the other and then scratch, feed, and dress them. She loves all the games that are included. The main goal is to adopt pets. You start with three pets. You earn the right to adopt more pets by playing games with the pets you have. The games are fun and can be played at any time. There are three levels (easy, medium, and hard) on every game, so they are suitable for a wide age group. I love playing some of the games. You earn "kibble" by playing games and picking up coins. The kibble is used to buy new pets, toys, and accessories. There are a variety of pets - a monkey, a polar bear, a giraffe, cats, dogs, and ponies - and they are adorable. You can go to the salon and select accessories - glasses, collars, and hats - for each pet. There is some reading throughout the game, and each pet has to be named. She doesn't read or write, so she needs my help with those aspects of the game. Children who can read and write would need no help with this game. My granddaughter and I both love this game, and we love playing it together. I highly recommend it!

I was very excited for this game, especially since the first one was so great. But this is a very disappointing game. The graphics are great, but the game is terrible. Unlike the first game, the minigames in this are not fun at all, and rather tedious. There's only 1 minigame I actually enjoyed, and even then, it was not as fun as it could have been The 30+ animals in the first one have been cut down to like 10 in this version, which is very disappointing. The controls are atrocious, and it's very hard to control the pet. I did not like running around constantly to grab certain items, as you would have to have certain pets to do certain things, such as getting apples off trees, or digging items up out of the ground. They could instead have been turned into minigames that were actually fun. The dress up option was possibly the worst part of this game. It was way too frustrating, for example, you would attempt to take off a hat your pet was wearing, only for it to stay there. You could even put another hat on your pet, while it was wearing the same hat. It even caused some strange glitches to happen. However, this game did have one good point. It's a multiplayer game! But even then, the multiplayer still ends up being one of the drawbacks. While walking around the areas, if the second player strays too far away, the game will stop whatever you two are doing just to pull you two together, and that was very annoying. The minigames did not become any more enjoyable with a second player. Stick with the first and do not get this one.

My 6-year old daughter received Littlest Pet Shop Friends for Christmas. It was highly anticipated, since she loves the first Littlest Pet Shop Wii game. She is a proficient reader (which is a must for this game), so she enjoyed the animal conversations and written instructions. The graphics are cute, the concept is great, and she thoroughly enjoyed the game. However, this game is very linear (go here, play this...then go here, play that) with a singular mission of planning a party. She completed the game in 6-8 hours, max. She played the same game again with a second sign-in and completed it in about 3 hours. She is completely finished with the game and has no interest in it anymore. We are pretty disappointed that there wasn't more to this game; she kept asking if there were any more parties should could plan. Not a bad idea...wish the developers of the game would have thought of that!

I bought this game for my little girl's 8th birthday and she absolutely LOVES it. The game has a whole lot of fun games that the child can choose from and it will keep them busy for hours. Another cute thing about the game is that they get to dress up each pet they adopt with all kinds of accessories. Its like their old WII The Littlest Pet Shop game but with newer pets and different games. So I say this game was well worth my $40 especially when I saw my little girl's eyes light up when she opened up the gift. =)

Littlest Pet Shop Friends for the Wii was a huge hit in our house. My little party planner had a great time getting ready for the "party of the year" with her pet friends. This was one of those games I had to keep telling her she'd been playing too long. And, if you have kids you know that's a major indicator that the game was pretty cool. I like that it's a multi-player game that caused the kids to do some problem solving. There is a lot of reading (as mentioned in the other reviews), so be prepared to read if your child is younger than 2nd grade.

This is a very nice game, but there is way too much reading for younger players. If your kid can't read proficiently, be prepared for hours of pet puns and cutesy banter that barely server to move the game along. Hopefully you can convince your kid to keep mashing the A button so you don't have to read every word.

The input device normally used to manipulate video games is called a game controller, which varies across platforms. For instance, a dedicated console controller might consist of only a button and a joystick, or feature a dozen buttons and one or more joysticks. Early personal computer based games historically relied on the availability of a keyboard for gameplay, or more commonly, required the user to purchase a separate joystick with at least one button to play. Many modern computer games allow the player to use a keyboard and mouse simultaneously.

Beyond the common element of visual feedback, video games have utilized other systems to provide interaction and information to the player. Chief examples of these are sound reproduction devices, such as speakers and headphones, and an array of haptic peripherals, such as vibration or force feedback.
