The Transformers is a line of toys produced by the toy companies Takara and Hasbro. Initially reusing previously-released toys from the Japanese toylines Diaclone (ダイアクロン) and Microman (ミクロマン), Hasbro issued the toys under the name Transformers in the United States in 1984. The premise behind the Transformers toyline is that an individual toy's parts can be shifted about to change it from a vehicle, a device, or an animal, to a robot action figure and back again. The taglines "More Than Meets The Eye" and "Robots In Disguise" reflect this ability.

Over all I'm pretty happy with this pillow. My only complaint is that it's really not even 6 months old and it already split at the seam a little bit. However it's nothing that a little fabric glue can't fix. The detail is great, it's very soft and was the final touch to re-doing our son's bedroom in Transformers. All in all I would buy again!

Neat little pillow that goes great with my son's Transformer collection (more like a museum!). This is designed more for display than use. If your child is fairly young then they may be able to use it as a pillow while watching their favorite Transformers episode or movie but for larger kids, again, this is best used as a display on a shelf or bed.

Now most of you know the sequels to movies are not as good as the first one with a few exceptions, IE Home Alone and Home Alone 2. This one isn't as good as the first one which was expected, but it does have some good fighting scenes for sure. I think maybe too much fighting scenes and the first one didn't have enough fighting scenes. Either way it is a good movie with a surprise at every other corner. I would say rent it first and if you like it buy it.

So i grew up on transformers and of course im going to love the movie... but regardless of that.. this movie has amazing graphics, storyline is awesome.. and you can trust me.. you will have moments of outright laughter.. I bought it and have watched it on more than one occasion... very enjoyable.. and this is safe for the majority of ages to watch in my opnion.

I have seen this movie before and had to buy it as a gift for a friend for the holiday's. Great price on Amazon!! Watched it a million times.

The fast action pace keeps you awake and interested. The storyline was not well thought out. I didn't like it as well as Transformers One, but still entertaining. Probably best suited for the younger crowd of video game players. The sound designers used too much rumbling bass throughout and that was a bit distracting with my 12" subwoofer. I would rather hear the strong bass reserved for the special moments.

This was the worst piece of Trash, Junk, Garbage I have ever seen! The blu-ray was a waste of time and money. There is absolutely no need to purchase the blu-Ray since the CG was so bad! If you enjoy a bunch of CG bits, parts and Pieces flying and spinning in the air and crashing into each other be my guest! Waste you money! Just remember I told you so! This is not even worth a bluray rental! The Story line was weak and stupid! I seriously can't believe that someone was paid to write this silly story. I have seen dumb cartoons that had a better story line. Seriously this blu-ray is not a show off disk.

Too much sex, too many stupid jokes, two stupid twin autobots, not enough action, too many complicated battle scenes, ridiculous decepticon house appliances, Megan Fox looking in every scene like she is doing a porno shoot, The most ludicrous and pointless plot I can remmember in recent years...and the list goes on and one. How it is possible that so many people working on a high budget movie don't realize they are producing crap? The only good thing in the whole movie was the fighting on the woods where Optimus dies, really well done. But again like in the first movie the machines look way too complicated, is difficult to follow the action. In few words, one of the worst movies in recent memory. And the worst is you know there is going to be another one.

while i gave the first movie perfect marks for sheer entertainment, this sequel is actually a more complete film,in my opinion,as much as this type of movie can be.for one,the story is actually much more interesting and more developed.the humour quotient is upped in this one as well.there are quite a few chuckles.some of the transformers are really neat, especially on the Decepticon side.the fight scenes between the Transformers are quite spectacular, though that isn't surprising.what is surprising is that the transformation scenes(when the vehicles change into their robot forms and vice versa were not seamless, and looked herky jerky to me.in the original film, this was not an issue.still,it's immensely entertaining.and despite a few minor issue.a better movie overall.as an aside, the movie is nominated for a Razzie Award for worst movie, which mystifies me.it's nowhere near Razzie calibre.oh,well.for me,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is a 5/5

Last night walking to my local Hollywood Video store (which is closing down) I found a fair amount of DVD's for only $5. Browsing around I found some interesting items and also I found Transformers 2. I never got a chance to see it at the movies, and me not being a big fan of the cartoons but a fan of its prequel I decided to purchase it since it was at that price. I already knew what many people and critics said about the film; when it hit the theaters I was disappointed to read all the negative appraisals from websites and people from work that viewed it. Still I decided to give it an opportunity. The movie first of all definitely encloses what an action summer blockbuster should have: loud explosions, great special effects, nonstop action, good battle sequences; but unfortunately Michael Bay thought that the juvenile act on some autobots and decepticons and even including Sam's parents would enhance the film: the pointless gags, the `ghetto' slangs from the twins, their bothersome voices, leg humping (which I cannot blame since it was on Megan Fox -what a beauty-), showing off their testicles, and so forth. But beyond all those ridiculous happenings I found a movie that entertained me which was its principle. In fact, the plot was more thought of than the original making you think that Michael Bay probably wanted to take the film to a different direction, but whoever thought of the entire lame jokes I stated literally killed what could have been a better movie. There is no essence to this movie that you should look forward to but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't see it. Don't expect to watch a movie that contains a mature atmosphere because after all, it's only Transformers.

The movie came within a week. I am very impressed, movie came in great condition and I will buy from here again.

I would have cut out about 1 hour of this nightmare of a movie. It was so obnoxious, unnecessary footage and horrible. The first one was one of my favorite movies. This sequel was done so fast and thrown together that it showed the low quality and low time put into it.

If you have kids, they'll love it! Giant robots that are so detailed they look like towering piles of junk. It's quite a feast for the eyes too, with different locales like Egypt, the Smithsonian museum, and all of the expensive military play toys (battleships, tanks, aircraft carriers, flying predator drones and so on). As for the movie itself, it's watchable at best and I'm a fan of Transformers. Basically this movie is one awkward moment after another. Like someone does something strange in public, but I guess that makes it seem charming (robot leg humping, dogs humping, the lead character getting caught in a compromising position). The awkwardness made it like a PG-13 American Pie only with robots. Speaking of the robots, they really felt tacked on. Like the movie could have replaced them with terrorists and fast cars. At some point I forgot there were Transformers in it! I felt the same way with the lead heroine Megan Fox. It was pointless to have her in the movie after the first 30 minutes and she probably should have been killed off earlier on. The movie made good use of her running in slow motion. The action is big budget with Transformers tangling with Decepticons, but really, the action wasn't all that good. It was different to watch giant robots fighting with humans in the way, but was it good, nope. Also it was difficult to tell one Decepticon from another and I know all the characters. Maybe if they were painted bright and flashy colors to differentiate them like the Transformers it would have been easier.

DVD came in perfect condition in a few days. Perfect for my son and his sleepover party ! Thank you.

Transformers was always my favorite cartoon growing up as a child. Whenever it was on I'd plop myself down in front of the TV screen and watched for hours on end. Now, being an adult and going to college I've always missed watching that show. But lucky enough for me, they made a movie of it. This movie was probably one of the most well thought out and most well made films I have seen in a long time (even the sequel was good which is such a shocker.) It made me want to see more ideas from the producer and writers, and it also made me change my ways of thinking that not all sequels are terrible. They are now shooting for Transformers 3 so I've heard, and I can't wait for it to come out. Transformers all the way. Autobots, roll out.

One of my very favorite movies. I loved it as soon as i saw it. i have no idea what those people who voted 1 or 2 stars are talking about. Just a great movie and even better on BluRay. Good effects, great sound, and just enough laughs to make it a comedy. There are days i can just stay home and watch this, and i'd have a successful night.

This is the greatest movie I have seen in recent years. I usually don't like to see movies more than once except for those that are very good. The very good movies, I'll watch them twice and that's it. However, the Transformers is so good I can watch it over and over again and never get tired. I have seen it at least 3 times before I bought it and I can't stop watching it. I have a pretty good sound system so I really enjoy the special sound effects at its maximum. If you are an action sci-fi type of person, then you are going to love this movie. I recomend the action lovers to buy this, you will not regret it. I just have to finish saying is an awesome movie, it will be hard to see another movie top this one (at least for me).

Reviews

My husband purchased the Optimus Prime Transformer for our 5 year old son, and it's AWFUL!!! No one in our house can figure it out. My husband is probably the only one who could figure it out and that's cause he is an engineer with a degree in physics, and he doesn't have time to even try. I am so frustrated with Hasbro and their "smarty-pants" developers who came up with this design. IT STINKS!! It's cheap plastic with parts that pop off and the instructions look like it was sketched in pencil and xerox copied-who can read that? Impossible to make out any detail in order to convert Optimus into a truck. I hate disappointing my children, and it has been a big disappointment to them knowing that it's been a half a day and Mommy still cant convert this dawg-on toy into a TRUCK!! Thanks a lot for the happy memories Hasbro!!! PS - I am so glad to find Mommies and Daddies out there who are having the same problems I am. Most of the "collectors" seem to be in a reality vacuum.

I bought this transformer for my son as a christmas gift and even with the directions we it takes forever to transform. Parts fall off easily and he was so fustrated at how long it took to convert that he gave up on the toy altogether. I am not happy at all with this purchase.

I bought this for my son. He is eight. He is a huge fan of Transformers and has many of them, but this is one of his favorite.

Idea is really good, but execution is terrible. It is almost impossible to transform from one stage to another without instruction, but instruction is not very clear. Even you follow all steps carefully, it does not guarantee the success.

I spent 4 hours on Christmas morning assembling this thing for my kid. I'm 31 and grew up with transformers. I also worked on jets for the Air Force so I consider myself mechanically competent. This thing is in a whole new realm of complication. I searched YouTube for advice because the written instructions were hopeless. Finally a teenage kid's video post helped me assemble it. Even then it was incredibly challenging. 4 hours and I finally assembled it! But it didn't roll. Its a GD truck and it doesn't roll. The hood stayed together for about 2 minutes before it popped apart. So now its a Transformer that doesn't transform. Since it couldn't roll like a truck, I had to transform it back. Bottom line: They bit off more than they could chew. Bravo to the engineers but boo to the testers.

My son received this toy for his birthday and he does like it, but the only thing is it was a little difficult to "transform". Sometimes the parts didn't stay together very well. He is 10 years old and normally he has not problems figuring out how to put something together, but this one was a bit of a challenge. Also, it was a bit smaller that what we thought it would be. He still plays with it and is having fun with it once he got it to stay together.

I bought this toy for my son for Christmas. He had it out of the package for less then a hour and the little pieces started to fall off. His head is now off and can't be put back on. This toy is for looking at only not for touching!!

This is the only time I have been disappointed with a purchase. I expected a larger toy as I had returned the same toy purchased locally because it was too small. Locally I paid $8 less. There were so many of what seemed to be the same toy, the purchase experience was very exhausting. A more clear description would have been helpful (size...etc). Otherwise, my using Amazon for purchases has been nothing but world class. It amazes me how they can process orders so quickly. Their customer service is unparalleled. John Gallegos California

Most of the reviews from parents ive read here start with this phrase "my 4 y/o son, my 4.5y/o son...." did you know that this toy is for 5 and ups? Seriously, what is wrong with America? Give them some challenge and they will throw it at you. Thats what their kids need.

Before I start, I read the instructions. And followed them as best I could. But the toy that I got is worthless. The plastic joints all came apart before step 4. The rotating parts don't fully rotate. There have to be better Transformer toys out there, please don't buy this one.

For those other reviewers saying the graphics are terrible, what video settings are you using? I have a GTX260 and this game looks and plays very smoothly. While it may be easier to play with an Xbox controller, It's NOT needed. 90% of all pc games require the awkward mouse and keyboard combo. This is a good thing as it will force you to memorize where your keys are. After playing World of Warcraft for 4 years, I needed a quick "shoot 'em up" game. This game is perfect for that. This game is lacking in depth though, I really wish there was more to it. I beat both Autobots and Deseptacons in under 4 hours total. Considering I only paid about 5 bucks out of pocket (25 dollar gift card) this game really isn't that bad.

This game is ridiculously over-priced for the less than sub-standard graphics I have EVER seen in a video game. As most of the reviewers have rightfully said, the controls are awkward. I played this game once and had to squint my eyes through it all to try to make out figures in the dark (not poetic...literally!!) atmosphere...it was no fun at all. Had me running up and down and shooting stuff that I can't see. Horrible graphics! Just Horrible! The movie was excellent though. They totally botched the game. I un-installed it...took up 6GB of harddrive. OMG! for such lame graphics I do not understand.

No where on this Amazon site are the systems requirements listed for this game. Transformers Revenge of the Fallen will not work on my integrated video board (the PC is 2 years old). It would be nice to know that before the purchase. I'm not going to spend $150 upgrade for a $27 game. Can't return it either....I'm stuck with it.

I'm really surprised by the negative reviews of this game. I recently picked it up on PC and am having loads of fun with it. The controls were a bit difficult for me to get used to at first, but once I'd played for a bit (and it helps that you can do each scenario over and over again as often as you want) they became second nature (and, of course, you can reset them as you like). I love the versatility of each character, and I enjoy replaying missions with different characters (or even the same character, utilizing different skills). The post-mission dialogue changes depending on how well (or poorly) you did in various aspects (collateral damage, amount of time spent on the mission, etc.), which makes replaying it even more fun. And I haven't even played any of the Decepticon campaigns yet! My only complaint is that it is too short. I'd like to see more missions. I'd also like to see additional skill upgrades. Because you can replay each mission as often as you want, and earn energon each time, you can easily max out your levels long before playing the final mission. It almost makes the game too easy. All in all, I've found this game to be a lot of fun. I'm enjoying playing it over and over again. If it weren't for family and work obligations, I'd probably never get off this game!

Where to start. You only get to play certain transformers on certain levels, you hardly get to play Optimus prime at all. You're cannons are pointless as must enemies just shield themselves and most characters need to be hit with something, like a tree or a brick before they stop being invincible. Some levels are so frustrating you'll scream, e.g. - Theres a level here where Megatron can be kicked around by "invincible" Autobot characters, which is just weird. - When you're Blackout fighting Ironhide he's hard to control, easy to kill and trips over everything. - Many levels are 20 minutes long and if you die you start again. No replay value, barely any play value. Stay miles away unless you're a hardcore Transformers fan why isn't bothered by anything.

This game absolutely horrible. It was a poor game on the consoles and they didn't even make a slightest effort while porting it to Windows to make it more PC like or increase texture resolution since PCs are capable of better graphics than consoles. For a 2007 game it has 2001 graphics, the controls are horrible, mouse panning even at highest sensitivity is dog slow, driving and flying is impossibly frustrating. What this game has plenty of is bugs. Do yourself a favor and spend your money on something else.

Buggy stages design. They made the driving part of the game difficult by simply making the handling of the car modes of the robot extremely twitchy and hard to control instead of the stages itself being difficult. Lame enemy attacking and counter-attacking mechanism. Beating the bigger enemies only involve throwing vehicles or objects towards them at specific time. There is no other way to beat them, it's the same from Barricade to Megatron. It gets boring after a couple times. Save your money for other Transformers Toys or for the Transformers 2 movie tickets, just don't spend it on this game.

I'm a 100% transformers fan. That's the only reason I bought the game after reading all the bad reviews of it. (I think there were 98 bad reviews for every 2 good ones.) All the reviews were right. It's the worst, most unimaginative, hardest to control, most frustrating, most repetitive, stupidest piece of junk out there on the video game market. Unless you want to be banging your head against the wall every time you play it and wishing you'd spent the money on a couple of deluxe line transformer toys instead, don't even think about buying it. If you really really really have to try it, rent it for $5. Then see how quickly you get frustrated and sick of it. By the way, every level is EXACTLY the same as the last stupid level. No development or originality or thought put into it whatsover. Just the same impossible to control chases and poor excuses for fights over and over again. And bumblebee is by far the worst of the autobots control-wise, which is really annoying because you have to start with him.

We have been playing this game for a day now and it looks good but some levels are really hard. For instance, we are stuck, as the other reviewer wrote, as Skorpinock. It does get a bit unclear where things are when you are surrounded buy junk like trees...and targeting can be tricky because there are so many control options. We have a Pentium D 3.0 GHz, 512 MB Radeon 1950, 3 GB RAM. The best part so far has been mass destruction for no reason after leveling.

Very good graphics. Follows the movie pretty good. You can play as autobots or decepticons if you wish. Have not completed it but it seems like a long game, but I am not a hard-core gamer. My son likes to play around on the boards I have completed and he is 4 so it is not too complicated.

I wanted to get this game because I saw the movie and I really liked the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie. I was interested in playing the game for quite some time, I just did not want to pay more than I had to for this game because I knew the replay value would be low for me. I found this game enjoyable and because I am a competitive person, I finished the game in a few days. Once I start playing a game and I like it, I need to beat the entire game. Graphics were good. Storyline is on par with the movie. It's what the title of my review is.

My 2 11 yr old boys like it. From what I can tell, very nice graphics.

Right off the bat i think of all transformers games this one is the best. The graphics the game play the audio just everything was pretty cool. The fact that you could be either decepticon or autobot and switch if you want to is cool. The graphics of the environment could have been a littel better but the transformers was pretty much almost flawless. The game play will take a little bit of getting use to especially the flying part. After you get used to it then bring it on and be either decepticon or autobot and eihter save or create havok.

I had high hopes for this game, but it's just not interesting enough to continue. Controls are a bit difficult and there doesn't seem to be a great plot. It's too much like those old mech games back in the 90s. It's too easy for 3D game manufacturers to create stuff like this. All in all, it's boring and is nearly as bad as the movie, and for the same reason. The 3D itself is okay, but not what I expected. The still captures are better than what you actually get.

My 6 year-old grandson has this and beat it in a few days. I watched, and have to say the first game, which I own, was more enjoyable by far. Rent this first before you lay out money to buy it. Replay value is just not there.

Got this, along with many other 360 games, for Xmas (the 360 MW2 was also new for Xmas). My son is 10, but an advanced and technially savvy 10 year old. He loves this game, and I know he would rate it highly if I let him type the review. I don't think he has played on xboxlive with it, but is enjoying playing it one player. It would not be suitable for kids under say 8 or 9, as they may get frustrated at trying to control and steer things.

Its not that fun! It's just it can get really repetitive. Because all the missions have the same idea. It gets really boring. But the graphics are amazing when you are using a hdmi cable. The game never crashes or runs slowly. I dont have this game its just... if you are comparing this to call of the duty modern warfare 2 halo 3 call of duty world at war gears of war. Then this is just crap! Still i am not saying this game sucks but I wouldn't of gotten this I had known if it was like this. But i would highly recommend this to any transformers fan or geek/nerd.

Now what im going to say is very absurd, but I think of this game like a gears of war and call of duty game made for kids! I have finished both campaigns autobots and decepticons, and after a while the game looked like a gears of war game made for kids! why? because it's in third person, has guns and you can do that rolling thingy across the floor. The campaign is fairly short and the cool thing is that ever charcter has its special ability ( bumblebee:sting, Ratchet: heal etc) and the game has free roam. The aiming situation was always bad for the first game but the controls are easier to use now and you can aim by yourself. The graphics are really good for both the xbox 360 and the ps3. You can climb on buildings, transform with one button and each character has two guns/turrets each ( Bumblebee missle luancher and machine gun. The sniping with sideways adds a bit of call of duty in it and the game has HUD or that indicator when you get shot or hit. There is also capture the flag, team deathmatch and deathmatch so you see what i mean. BTW you can also punch. There are alot of charaters and more with the map pack, so this is definetely a good buy for every transformers fan!

I am a 41 year old man and I am not as good at video games as I used to be, but my nephews loved the game. I wish I be as good as them. It has great graphics and being able to choose whether you want to be an Autobot or Decepticon makes the game more interesting. Hopefully one day they might make a version of the game for people like Me Sincerly Yours Michael Jones

Great way to encourage reading for kids who love the Transformers. they have read it a few times already and want more books about them.

I got this book for my 5 year old son after getting the partner book, Meet the Autobots. He loved that book so much that getting this one was a no-brainer. The story doesn't follow the movie as much as the Autobots book does, but we were able to learn the names of the various Decepticon characters. The pictures were good and not too scary. The Transformers toyline is typically divided into two main factions: the heroic Autobots and their opponents, the evil Deceptions (known in Japan as the Cybertrons and Destrons, respectively). Transformers toys are sold at a number of price points, and various Transformers series utilize unique play features.

There have also been a number of spin-offs based on the toys including a Marvel comic book series, an animated television series program presented by Claster Television, a television production company that Hasbro organized for this and similar purposes, that began transmissions in 1984 (Transformers series) and a feature-length movie, The Transformers: The Movie. The original series program was followed by a number of spin-offs with varying levels of popularity. A live-action remake, directed by Michael Bay under the sponsorship of Steven Spielberg, premiered on June 12, 2007 and opened in the United States on July 2, 2007.
