Sorry! is a Cross and Circle board game based on pachisi, sold by Parker Brothers.

The earliest variation of today's Sorry! can be traced back to England, shortly before its arrival in the United States. Sorry! was adopted by Parker Brothers in 1934, and has remained in their possession since. It is an American hallmark board game, being played by generations of Americans, as well as throughout the world. The Canadian version was Patented in 1938.

If you have a Scooby Doo obsessed child in your home, this game will be the perfect addition. It is set up just like all of the other "Pop 'N' Race" type games, but with the 'gang' from this popular series. This was a birthday present for my nephew and he really enjoyed opening it on his special day. The only note that I really have is that the popper was a little hard to push . . . if your child is five, they may have to use both hands to depress it (which causes additional wear and tear on the game and causes frustration for the child). Other than that, the game is a winner on this end!

I have a 3 1/2 year old son and he LOVES Scooby Doo, so when I saw this game in Scooby Doo I had to buy it. He understands how to play and helps him with numbers and actually playing a real game. We love playing it! We laugh so much when he lands on Mommys spot and I have to go back home he just loves that. Very fun game!

This is your typical pop up game..but with a Scooby Doo theme. I love this game because the one die is contained in the center and cannot be removed. This makes this game safer and less likely to lose that part. The player pieces tho' are small enough to cause a choking hazard for younger children. This age old game is always fun. AND who doesn't like Scooby Doo? I had an older version of this game (traditional..)..and it is STILL in good shape after 35 yrs..SOoo outside of losing the smaller pcs..when taken care of this game will last forever.

Fun game. It's hard to find Scooby-Doo items in the stores, so I was happy to find this! My child loves it!

Very simple but very enjoyable game. It's the original Trouble game but adapted with Scooby Doo characters and colors. My children enjoy playing this. Not intended for older children but great for early elementary. They have a chance to practice numbers, counting and deciding on the best stratagies to win. Simple but great!

Sorry! Fun On the Run Game Sorry! Fun On the Run Game

We were heading to Tulum to unplug for a week with our 8 and 11 year old children. We needed enough board games to keep us occupied for 21 meals, plus afternoon beach time. This was a trip where electronics were being banned. Among the many games and books I purchased was an old standby -- Sorry! but in the travel sized version for just $9.00. I had no idea what a winner it would be. It is durable, compact and convenient. It is well designed. The game folds up into itself , keeping the pieces in a center console where the spinner is (this has replaced the cards). Two big bonuses: (1) that you can play this game on the beach in a windy location as game pieces that are movable fit into pre-drilled holes plus there are no cards to blow away, just an attached spinner that moves the game along and (2) each person only has two "mover" pieces, not four, to get around the board making this a shortened version of the at-home game.

My boys love the original game - I thought the travel one would provide a lot of fun while on vacation. It's definitely not the same as the original, but it is still fun. It was great in the airport & in the hotel - wouldn't bring it to the beach as the pieces are very small and can easily be lost.

My 4YO daughter and I have a great time playing this game. We have the "original" Sorry for playing at home, and she loves it, but as other reviewers mentioned, this is almost like "Speed Sorry," because you have only 2 pieces. For little ones (like my 4YO) this is great--the game moves fast, and you don't have 4 players trying to get out of start. I also love that they removed the cards--there's a spinning wheel. The only pieces that might get lost are the tiny people, which stay in their "spots" extremely well. The locking feature to the game is also a super feature; I can throw the entire kit in my handbag and off we go -- to a cafe, Starbucks, the park, everywhere. We're going to wait in line for a new release movie next weekend and this is surely coming--it will be a great way to pass the 30-40 minutes before the theater opens.

I have been looking at this game and finally decided to get it. I am so glad I did! We have played it several times since getting it three days ago. It will be great for traveling...even if only here and there around town. We have only played it at home so far. Plus side: pieces stay firmly in board, can be quick or long depending on how often you take advantage of sending each other home. Minus: Sometimes my children put the pieces in too firmly and have to tug a bit to get them out...(still okay in my view). And spinner works better if holding it up instead of sitting it on a surface...if on a surface it seems to get a bit bound up and does not want to spin as freely. If you hold it in your hand at the corners the spinner moves much more freely. All in all this is a great game and I would indeed recommend it to anyone who is debating the purchase.

I recently played this game with my two nieces, ages 5 and 3. Because this is a travel-sized game, it's simplified in that there are only two colored pieces, or "movers," for each player. Therefore, both girls were able to easily follow along with the game (although admittedly, the 3-year old did lose interest before the end of the game). The game board is nicely designed so that it folds into itself, creating a compact carry case. The game also features a spinner rather than dice, and the only loose pieces, the movers, tuck away nicely into individual cubbies when the game is closed up. I would mainly recommend this game for the 4-8 range, but its small size makes it convenient take-along entertainment for virtually all ages.

My children love playing these games. They are popular in board games as I remember and now popular in the ds form. I even enjoy playing. Great games. My children are never dissapointed in any of the ds games.

Was purchased for my daughter, she likes playing the games. Her friends can play together if they are close enough to download to their own DSI.

Not the most exciting selection of games ever, but it has still provided hours of fun for my kids.

I originally bought this for my kids (ages 5 and 7) so that they could play each other on their DSs. I also thought that they could play by themselves when they needed to, since the board game versions required 2 players and all I ever heard was arguing about who went first, etc. Turns out that my mom and I love to play these classics as well and we can often be found playing each other (with the kids' DSs, of course). Sorry and Battleship were some of my favorites as a child and the digital versions have just reminded me how much we enjoy them! The games are easy to play....but get two copies so you can play someone else!

I bought this game looking to expand beyond simple puzzle games. My biggest issues are the graphics are too tiny to really see what's going on. So the game pieces are hard to move around. I think if you want a computer version of the games, buy a version for a PC where you can see better what's going on and have more control. A neat idea, but not suitable to the tiny screen of a DS.

Aggravation/Sorry/Scrabble Jr Aggravation/Sorry/Scrabble Jr

Reviews

While the graphics are very old-school, these games are classics and have all their spunk left!

This game is an awful disappointment. There are bugs in the game that make it impossible to play the game directly. For example in Sorry I had a piece in home and one of the opponents were able to bump in back to start just by landing on the space next to home. Also the aggrivation game glitchs half way through and won't let you out of start even if you roll the right number. Don't waste your money

I haven't tried Sorry yet but Scrabble Junior was complicated at first and once I figured it out it couldn't hold my attention it's more for children. Aggervation was just boring...

I bought a Game Boy Advance unit recently simply because board and card games are finally available to players who don't really fancy the arcade-style games. The sheer availability of the games is a plus in itself. I haven't tried the Scrabble Jr., so this review concerns itself with Sorry and Aggravation. In general, the graphics are excellent and the game play good -- when it works (in the case of Aggravation). Had Aggravation not had a couple major problems, I'd have rated the package with 5 stars. SORRY: I would have paid the price of the game for Sorry alone, and since it plays a fairly good game, I consider the money well spent. 1) SORRY FLAWS: Very occasionally the game seems to become confused when an opponent's pawn is on your starting spot and you enter a pawn and send it back to its start. Subsequently a pawn of mine got sent back for no reason I could see. 2) SORRY LIMITATIONS: A) As a previous reviewer noted, when activating the Sorry or "11" cards, the human player has no choice about which opponent's pawn to affect with these. B) The computer players never take advantage of the special features of the "7" and "11" cards when these would benefit them. For example, with a "7" card you can either move one pawn 7 spaces or split the move between 2 pawns; the computer players never choose the latter option. C) You cannot save a game. AGGRAVATION: I'm new to this game and enjoyed it immensely, but be aware that the game may go haywire in mid-game and you may need to quit and begin the game afresh. I've written Destination Software about this but have heard nothing from them yet. 1) AGGRAVATION FLAWS: A) Sometimes in mid-game the game refuses to move pawns for one or more of the players, human or computer, even when they can legitimately move. This conditon lasts for the remainder of the current game usually, although sometimes it clears up after several turns. I haven't been able to figure out what causes this freeze-up. B)Occasionally an opponent's pawns will simply vanish from the board, only to reappear a few turns later, again for no discernible reason. 2) AGGRAVATION LIMITATIONS: A) In the offical rules, you may not jump one of your own pawns, but the electronic version waives this rule, probably for a faster and easier game. B) You cannot save a game.

I hated all three games and here's why Cons: -very little player interaction, the games almost play themselves. Just press the "A" button -no game enhancements, or cool animations. The graphics are photo realistic, but have no animations. -pathetic sound effects, consisting of *beeps* and *boops* -annoying music, after a few minutes of the generic music slamming your brain, you'll want to mute it. -Scrabble Jr. doesn't understand the words your make, and the CPU will make up bogus words that don't exist and reward itslef with points. -no game options. It would of been nice to adjust the rules of the games. -boring gameplay, when a game has no fun features other than pressing the "A" button it is not even a game anymore. -Sorry is the best game in the pack, but it plays at a very slow pace Pros: +photo realistic graphics DSI, robbed gamers yet again with pathetic games that look nice, but play terrible and without gameplay enhancements of any sorts. If you want a good board game, buy the old "monopoly" version for the gameboy color, which is compatible with gameboy advance.

i have had this game before and it got damaged i love the graphics and the sound the colors are great it is an exciting and fun game to play it never goes out of "style" it is a classic. thank you

Extremely fun game. Recommend turning down the music and turning up the pawnspeak.

This is a great game! It is so much fun to play Way Sorry. It has much more fun cards. You get to choose frome five cards. It makes the game way more exciting! I definatly recommend this game!

I bought this for myself and an online friend.....we play in MSN Game zone together....talk about laughs...the animation is GREAT.....and amusing....you can play classic or stratagy.....its easy enough for younger kids ..but adults will definatly enjoy this game too! I highly recommend it!

The extra features that the CD ROM version of this game has is just awsome. You can play with 3 other people and choose to play either the classic version or the "Way Sorry", which allows you to get all of your pawns out of home base and onto the board. The pawns also taunt each other which can be cute or annoying (depending on your taste). All in all, I highly recommend this game.

I have been unable to get the game to run on my computer. This is not the fault of the disc nor the company though, it is because I have Windows Vista and the compatability does not seem to work for any product. I have had this disc in the past and loved it.

received cd fast but it only lasted a week and then shattered inside the driver.
