SET Game SET Game

Reviews

At first this game seemed a little confusing to play, but once we figured out what a "set" was, it was AWESOME!!! It does get frustrating at times, since the sets are not always easy to see.....then again, thats the fun of it. My 15 year old daughter seems to have a good eye for the sets and beats us everytime!!! Def a lot of fun for the whole family....all ages.

Our adult friends LOVE this game and encouraged me to buy it for my kids for Christmas. It has been played 2 times and that has been by me and a couple of my children. Our kids do not choose to play this game. It is great and gets you to thinking.

I bought this for my 7 year old and she took one look at it and said- we have that at school. I would describe this when played alone as more of a puzzle rather than a game. I ended up using it myself and am addicted! It is a great way to take a break from the daily grind. The NYtimes.com has a free online version which they change daily. It is a great way to mix fun and using your brain at the same time.

This game is great fun for the whole family. The more you play, the better (quicker) you can pick out sets, but what we really like is that there is no particular advantage based on age or size. We play as a family and my 9 year old daughter has just as much opportunity and likelihood to win as I do. The more often you play, you will develop an advantage over those who play less frequently. This game is fun and challenging for everyone.

I bought Set Game as a Christmas present for my husband and since that day our whole family has spent many fun hours playing. At first we had a little trouble figuring out exactly what is a set and what isn't, but the rules are very clear and include examples of sets and non-sets. The product description and other customer reviews helped in my decision to purchase the game, but also knowing that the rules are both in English and Spanish (my husband is Spanish, and we live in Spain). Our kids (aged 6 and 12) absolutely LOVE the game and always want to play. Our 12-year old usually wins.

Quiddler Quiddler

Reviews

Good for a couple fast games, but much better if played creatively with house rules: the original rules get old pretty quickly.

The only interaction is that during your play/turn you get to chance to choose from the discard pile and only the card that the person before discarded. It's also too easy to make words and go out, two rounds is the norm; and the larger the word made means nothing extra. The high review average for this game says something about the people posting reviews in general.

This has quickly become a new family favorite and is great for most ages with some ability to spell. Sometimes my 8 year old needs help arranging his cards into words to get the most points. Some of us like Scrabble, and some of us don't, but ALL of us like Quiddler! You don't have to be a lover of words and dictionaries to enjoy this game--though it just might get your kids looking up words in the dictionary to get more points in the next game.

This is the BEST game ever! Its fun, quick, easy to play and for the entire family. We play this game quite frequently! Since its only a large deck of cards, its very versatile and can be played or taken anywhere!!!

Great for long rides, short attention spans, or not enough time for a full Scrabble game; and you don't need a lot of space, big boards with pieces that get lost OR BATTERIES! It's easy to learn, challenging even for adults, and a great way to get your kids to expand their spelling skills without making it boring. We have worn out three sets, and given four sets to family and friends who loved it. We will use two games at once when we have a lot of people playing. Since it is hard to find in stock in stores, I am thrilled we found them on Amazon. Try it. If you like Scrabble, you'll love this.

Average Rating:

The rules are brutal, but the rewards are worth it in this card game that works a bit like Scrabble. Although there is a solitary version of the game for one player, you can play with up to eight. Cards containing letters of the alphabet and special combinations of letters are dealt in increasing number each time the dealer completes a round...

UNGame Couples Card Game UNGame Couples Card Game

Reviews

This is a great way to get to know other people. Its a great way to start a conversation that actually matters to your relationship.

Along with the original board game, this set of cards is useful for working with couples who are highly distressed. It helps keep the tone lighter and allows each partner to share as well as learn about the other partner.

This is a box of card with questions intended for adult couples to share experiences. I found it is poor offering the benifits claimed.

excellent game for couples, help couples learn more about each other.
