LeapFrog Didj Handheld Custom Gaming System - PinkReviewsMy 6 year old plays this everyday for hours on end! Works with everything she is doing in school! Has all her spelling words and math problems programed in! I bought this for my 7 year old granddaughter for Christmas and she has thoroughly enjoyed it. Already learned a few multiplication problems, etc. from using it on a long trip she and her family took to Florida after Christmas. Despite the nonsensical reviews about price below, which aren't even accurate, this is a great item for the price. Much cheaper than a DS! And a great platform for kids, especially girls, to get some educational value out of the gaming environment. We've only tried a few of the titles so far, but it has held her interest and helped her learn more! Much better than pure mind candy. My 6 year old is learning to multiply and divide and has learned about fractions from Spongebob, Indiana Jones, and StarWars. He can't put this game system down. We homeschool and this is great for his after schoolwork time. He can't seem to put it down. We are buying stock in energizer, though. Batteries last about 10hrs of play time. There is a car charger and ac/dc plug available for about $10 each. We will invest in them soon. We are very pleased with this product and all games purchased so far. We have about 6 of them. Our homeschool is actually a farmschool because we are always in the fields. So, our didj gets dusty, dropped, dragged from home to the truck to the tractor, etc... and is still going strong. We've had for a couple of months now. No complaints! Please don't let these bad sellers rip you off. You can get this toy at "wallyworld" for half the price and they have plenty. There is no shortage. Average Rating:![]() |

LeapFrog: Letter Factory (Kids Pack)ReviewsThis dvd has really helped my kids with learning their letter sounds! It has catchy tunes and holds their interest. I would recommend it to anyone. I thought that "Kids pack" would mean that there would be something special about this DVD, or that it would come with something special. It doesn't. It's just a DVD case with a hole and a DVD inside. Otherwise, it teaches the alphabet to youngsters well. Though, in the "A" room, there is a map of the world with Antarctica labeled at the bottom, except it is spelled "Antartica". This shouldn't be a big deal, but I would expect a DVD series designed to teach children how to read to have proper spellings of everything, even if it is in the background. I know, I know, mountains and molehills, mountains and molehills... the product is really useful.... especially for those parents who do not converse in english language. great tool to acquire language skills through animated story.highly recommended ... so that kids use TV time more meaningfully. Leapfrog Learning DVDs 5-Pack (Talking Words Factory / Talking Words Factory II / Learn to Read at the Storybook Factory / Letter Factory /Math Circus)ReviewsWe LOVE the letter factory and the second word factory movie. The letter factory does a GREAT job teaching the sounds, and Capital letter recognition. They don't focus much on the lowercase letters and now I am trying to teach my daughter lowercase letters on my own with flash cards. But I'm okay with that, I think the most important thing is that she can recognize the letter in some form and say it's sound. I was amazed at how quickly she started to pick up on them. The second talking words factory teaches some of the rule to reading like silent E, When 2 vowels go walking the first one does the talking, and blends like Sh. Each rule has a song that I think is helpful for remembering the rule. It also has a short song about the vowels. but the other 3 movies I didn't like. I think they focused too much on the plot and trying to be exciting, resulting in missing the mark on actually teaching children the content of the movie. I especially did not like the number movie and the first talking words movie. I found the storybook factory a bit anoying, but I could see it being usefull when my daughter is ready to do more advanced reading. My advice would be to buy the letter factory and the talking words factory II, then forget the other movies. There has got to be some better options on the market for those ones. I ordered this in 2007 for about $41.00. I thought these prises are high. I just ordered them seperately for $56.00. Just copy each title and paste it in a seperate window. Add 1 at a time to your cart. I got all mine through the same seller. DVD's $39.00 + shipping $17.00. I might expect to pay more 3 years later but this is ridiculous. This product is fantastic!! It took about two times through for my son to learn the alphabet and short/soft letter sounds. No, it does not teach the long or hard letter sounds, but they teach that secondary anyhow. The other videos are very good, but not as catchy as the first. We still watch this occasionally, just for reinforcement. I bought this for my 4 year old daughter to help in teaching her how to recognize letters, as well as know the sounds of them. Well.. before watching any of this, she knew nothing. In less than 2 weeks, she almost has the entire alphabet down. This is very educational, and will keep their attention. I highly recommend this set. I keep these videos in the car and my daughter, age 5, loves to sing along with the characters. The Letter Factory actually taught her to say her name for the first time correctly "J"! She's gaining confidence every day. Thanks Leapfrog! Average Rating:![]() |

Leap Frog - Letter Factory [VHS]ReviewsI bought this DVD from Amazon.com for $8.99 with no shipping! can't get no better for a brand spanking new DVD!! I got this for my 14month old daughter and she loves it! It's so engaging and the sounds of the letters are accurate. I love the smooth transition of the letters between each other and how every letter is fun and have their own theme to the room. My daughter is trying to say new letter sounds and I really believe it's because of this wonderful DVD!!! I would suggest this DVD to anyone!! I bought this DVD for my son when he was 18 months and he loved watching it. he didn't watch it very often though. However, he surprised me by saying reading a few letters off my T-shirt one day. Now, at 22 months, he can identify all letters and make their sounds too. It is also quite entertaining so we don't mind watching it with him either. Kids can watch it over and over again. An added bonus is that they learn their letter sounds. My son received one as a gift when he was one. He enjoyed watching it when he was two. It broke when he was three and he asked for another one. He is four now, but he began reading and putting sounds together when he was three. Please don't think this video will teach your child to read, but they will enjoy watching it and learning the sounds at the same time. This DVD was great. My son, who is 3, quickly learned colors, shapes and numbers from the preschool prep videos, but was not interested in the letter video from that company. We had been working on learning his letters using puzzles and books for the past few months with little success. I bought the letter factory dvd and within one week he now has complete upper case letter recognition and most of the lower case letters as well. He has also started pointing letters out on buildings, his toys, and books. I would highly recommend this video especially for a child who is a visual learner. My 3.5 year old had learned to recognize both upper and lower case letters, and I was looking for a way for him to learn letter sounds, (that wasn't boring old Mama teaching him). I checked this out from the library as I was unsure if he would like LeapFrog. Three viewings and he had it down. 6 months later we are on Lesson 6 in The Reading Lesson: Teach Your Child to Read in 20 Easy Lessonsand he is reading the Bob Books, Set 1: Beginning Readers. I am sure results vary, but the catchy tune was just what my son needed to jump start his reading. Average Rating:![]() |

Leap Frog - Talking Words Factory [VHS]ReviewsWe got the 3 dvds by Leapfrog - Talking Letters, Talking Words, and Storybook one (can't remember name) but our son has learned all his letters very quickly by watching this along with us working on things too. Highly recommended! My 4yo loves Letter Factory. She quickly learned the letters and there sounds at 3. This video hasn't been a dissapointment. She really enjoys it. While she hasn't suddenly started reading because of watching it, she does now understand the concept behind word building and sounds working together. It is a great tool to prepare her to learn to read and then to reinforce beginning reading concepts. We love the LeapFrog movies. They are both educational and entertaining. Thanks to LeapFrog, my daughter has learned phonics and basic reading skills at 2yo! I bought this for my 2 year old drandaughter. She loves it and wants to watch it alot.I beleive it is an excellant to to help her with words . Her mother says its great.Thank you This is a great video for kindergartners learning to sound out words and learning word families. It really helped my son. Average Rating:![]() |

Leap Frog - Talking Words Factory 2 - Code Word Caper [VHS]Reviewsmy 5yr old girl and my 6yr old boy just love it. All the leap frog videos are great. This can really take the mystery out of reading for young kids. This is a perfect follow up to the first 2 Talking Words DVDs from Leap Frog. My 4 year old is addicted and can read almost as well as my First Grader. Don't forget to check out the games on all the Leap Frog DVDs as well. Leapfrog and Amazon are names I have come to trust. Video is fun and able to capture attention of my kids and have already heard my 5 yr old using some of the lessons. I bought this video with the Letter Factory, and the Talking Words Factory. All three videos have been a huge hit! I introduced the videos one at a time, but this one and the Letter Factory have been the most requested of all the videos we have. Great information, great learning tool, very catchy songs and good story line. Kids under 2 may not fully get what's going on, but won't care because they'll be dancing to the music. 3.5 - 5 year olds will start getting the ideas behind the songs, and have fun doing it! Highly recommended! My 2 year old learns soo much from this. It's a great tool for teaching. Average Rating:![]() |

LeapFrog Math Adventure to the MoonReviewsMy daughter loves this video because it is fun to watch, but she just turned 3 years old and she pretty much knows almost all of the content that they are trying to teach. They go over simple counting, some shapes, colors, and paterns. The only thing that was new to her was the skip counting. She still loves the video and asks to watch it just about everyday, because she likes the whole space travel concept. Overall a good video. I would recommend it for children under 3 though. --Adding somthing trivial-- Tad the main character's voice in this video is very annoying. In the other videos he has a cute toddler voice, now he sounds very whiny, kind of like complaining about everything. This is not a knock on the video, but I thought I would mention it. My son is two and is counting from 1-10, so I wanted to get a good educational video for him to watch while I am cooking dinner, etc. This was perfect! He also loves the idea of outer space, and blasting off to the moon, so that was a definate bonus. He has watched this numerous times in the last week since it arrived, and after only seeing it once asked to watch it again the next night. He had a friend over this weekend who loved watching it as well, and he tends to be a little more picky about what he watches, so that says a lot. It has everything, from beginner counting, to adding, to patterns, so it will be around for several more years in our household. Plus Amazon had this item for $5 cheaper than another site, and you can't beat that! If you are looking for something educational that will keep your youngster entertained, then this is perfect. Yuasa Enitime AAA Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries (4-Pack)ReviewsI received this item as chrismas gift. Because my led flash light uses 3 AAA batteries, I constantly restock Alkaline AAAs. Yuasa low discharge AAA are perfect replacement for my application. I plan to buy additional pack to keep them on rotation so I will never run out of batteries. Instead of purchasing more alkaline batteries, the money I saved help me to purchase another pack of Yuasa precharged AAA batteries. I purchased these hoping to save a little over the cost of Eneloop's. While a good performing rechargeable I get better performance and life from the Eneloop brand. Next time I will probably purchase Eneloop for the price difference. Review is for the Enitime AA: ---------------------------------- GS Yuasa is a Japanese company that makes batteries mostly for sport vehicles. My Enitime AAs came pre-charged with my new universal remote control. "Technology from Japan - Made in China". So far, performance is comparable with my other low discharge batteries. Regular NiMh batteries are old school; these new batteries are greener and better. Pros: -For a rechargeable battery, these batteries does not need to be charged before you use it for the first time; right from the packaging into your gadgets. -They last a long time. -Does not need special charger. You can use your existing NiMh charger. Cons: -This later technology is still expensive. Yuasa Enitime AA Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries (4-Pack)ReviewsI recently bought two packs of these batteries. When they arrived I opened one of the packs and tried the batteries in a digital clock they did not work. I know the clock works fine it was running on a pair of Sanyo eneloop batteries right before I tried these. I put them into my La Crosse BC-900 charger and had to charge them. The first time two of the four reached their claimed ratings the other two fell far short. They are now in the process of being refreshed. Hopefully they will come around. The second pack I tried were also dead so much for being ready to use. I think I will stick with Sanyo eneloop batteries from now on. Leapfrog Crammer Study & Sound System Special Bundle Pack : Handheld + Ear buds + Case + Silicone SkinsReviewsThe Crammer is a good concept. I loved the idea. A game or two and lots of opportunity to quiz and learn with promises from Leapfrog of more content available. Alas, as with so many of their best products, they turn their back on support, stop releasing new content and throw all their money into the promotion of preschool products that are inferior next to other products on the market. We saw it with early Leap pad products, we saw it with Fly, now this. for once, I do wish LeapFrog would recognize the potential and continue to EXPAND and improve content so that a person is not high and dry after a month or less. Buy a crammer if you would like to use it for flash cards. Otherwise, you would be better off getting an MP3 player or an Ipod Touch and some learning apps. This seller has surprised me! I have never faced a buyer who is centered on seller delight. Thanks very much and I'm certain to be a repeat Customer for your business. help with learning and subjects the child maybe have trouble in. my cousin loves the games and downloading his music. I've tried 2 of these and both froze on install. With online troubleshooting as well as included instructions I was unable to get them to function at all. I'd sure love it to work, but am timid to try another time. When I emailed LeapFrog that "I'd be better off with 3x5 flashcards" they replied "what are flashcards?". Perhaps we just need the right company to develop this tool so it works. I bought this for myself. I was so sick of carrying around huge piles of index cards to study for a test. The crammer is a great remody for this. I have no use for the music player, although I did put on some classical tracks to play while I am studying if I forget my ipod. The games are dumb, and a diversion I wish it didn't have. Adding your own cards is very easy and organizes well. I already have hundreds of them added for each of my four classes. However, each 'side' of the card can only hold 100 words. This is very limiting and I am having to shorten many deffinitions. In future versions I wish that this becomes unlimited with a scroll down feature. The case fits great and hooks to my backpack. The silione case is ok but I don't find it neccessary and the skins are annoying. This is a very usefull tool - which would be even beter if there was more room to write. Average Rating:![]() |

Digital Multifunctional Wireless Device Z-PENReviewsI want to start by thanking the AccessoryGenie for such a great communication and help in shipping and return. though my product got here later than expected it did get here, but did not live up to the standards I expected and AccessoryGenie returned the product and refunded all my money including the shipping since it got in late. the communication with them was one of the best I had from a company in a while. unfortunately The pen works just ok. you do have to charge the receiver but at least you can use it with out it being attached to ur pc. The pages that come in are after ever time you pause it so unless u are constantly writing be warned that pausing is not a good way to conserve battery life. the pen takes ok notes as far as hand writing and drawing. and the install is a snap but its not better than writing your own notes on paper and scanning the pages. I only used it through pdf so i cant tell you how good or bad the software converter is but i can tell you it does write on any paper and works ok with pdf, just not as good as writing the notes yourself. and with the receiver at the top of the pg you lose a little of the paper that you might want to use. all in all ok pen better than others but not better than a real pen and scanner. the process of buying and returning was better. This Z pen works great. I use it to take notes in all of my classes and then transfer them to my PC at the end of the day. Its nice to have all my notes organized this way and makes studying a lot easier because I can search my notes by key words. By having my notes all on one screen I can organize them by timeline and topic. Ive actually bought two of them since I accidently dropped the first receiver, its rather fragile so try not to drop it. I got this item way faster than I expected and seller even sent an email ot make sure I was pleased. With the zpen I never have to used a scanner or extra copies again. I would definitely recommend to my friends. Digital Multifunctional Wireless Device Z-PEN. Download Handwritten files to a PC or Laptop (NO special Paper / Ink required!!!) ** Includes Free MousePad ** This is the absolute most disappointing purchase I have ever made. Dane-Elec does NOT care about its customers. I will NEVER purchase anything from this company or its subsidiaries again. The pen did not work as expected. The 'software' on the USB did not load to convert any handwritten pages to text. I tried everything except showing up at the manufacturer of the Z-pen to get assistance or have a new pen shipped. I emailed the company, I called any number I could find and tryed to work with the technical support link on their website but to no avail. NO ONE EVER responded to me at all. This is the most expensive 'regular' pen I have ever purchased. I could have just bought a pack of BIC pens and saved the other $107 for something worthwhile. Dane-Elec you should be out of business by year end 2009 with the way you treat/ignore your customers. You only received 1 star from me because I had to click one to post the review. I'd like my money and my 1 star back. I was skeptical about the ability of the ZPen to work on regular paper and I have been pleasantly surprised. I am an engineer working in the construction field and it has done everything I wanted it to do and more. Now I can create a sketch of a job site condition on the fly and email it to a client without having to scan it first and without ever having to make a paper copy for my records. The included software can save your notes as PDF files for easy exchange with others. Great product. Average Rating:![]() |
