This toy is fun to build, but frustrating to tinker with after a long day of construction. Trust me, start to tinker when you've had a good night's rest. Then, the tinkering you need to make this tower of fun work properly can be quite enjoyable if your child is inquisitive and likes to understand how things work and how to fix them when they don't. If you're child gets easily frustrated, this is not the toy for him (or you). It can get easily stuck just like anything. Here's a list of the problems we had: (1) the balls are too big to fit down the chute ladders (p. 78 of the instructions), so we removed two of the middle chutes, and added extra structural supports/borders from other KNEX sets to make it work; (2) the super spin wheel, and its associated flex tubes, were the most frutrating to get the alignment right, but after disconnecting some parts, adding others, etc. we finally were able to make it work reliably; (3) the track loop can shoot the ball past the receiving flex tube, so you may need to rig up some borders at the tube, as we did, to rectify this issue; (4) occasionally, the balls can overshoot the backstop at the top, so put in extra side borders to rectify this isssue; (5) the flex tube shooting to the trampoline constantly needs adjustment, so find a means to anchor it when you get it in the right position; (6) finally, keep in mind that this set requres constant attention, as balls will break free and alignments will move over time. It is definitely for the patient and mechanically inclined, so open a good bottle of wine, relax and have fun.

This thing is huge. it really is over 5 feet tall that is taller than my mother.Once this thing is done it is incredible. But first after you finish it look at the tips for success of it working. This thing is great and is not worth the price. But lucky for me I got this as a gift.If you put a ball in the motor thingy and it doesn't work put in 2 more balls and it will work.Buy this YOU WILL NOT BE UNHAPPY.Go big air ball tower!

My 6 1/2 year old son bought this with his allowance money. His Dad had to help him assemble it, but he did most of it by himself. It does take a good 6 hours to assemble but well worth it. It's totally cool & it really works! Instructions could have been a little clearer to me, but my son didn't have a problem.

This is awesome! Really, every other K'nex item is, too, but I think this one is the best! It is pretty hard to build and falls apart easily but is lots of fun!

If you have no mechanical ability, stay away. If you enjoy creating something that will give you a great deal of satisfaction, buy this! I gave this to my 8 year old son after he had completed 3 different setups of the Roller Coaster set. He did run into a couple of problems, but that is where I stepped in to lend a hand. To see the look on his face after it was complete was priceless!

Big Air Boz is being hounded by plastic balls that are pursuing him through a convoluted maze of tubes, chutes, and contraptions in this complex construction toy. Use the included step-by-step instructions to build a five-foot tower, featuring a motorized airlift, a tiny trampoline, spiral loops, spinning paddle wheels, and other Rube Goldberg-type tricks...
