Blue's Clues is an American children's television show which aired on Nickelodeon. It premiered on September 8, 1996, and ran until 2006. Versions of the show have been produced in other countries, most notably in the United Kingdom. It was created by a "green team" of producers, Todd Kessler, Angela Santomero, and Traci Paige Johnson, who used concepts learned from child development and early-childhood education research to create a television show that would capture preschool children's attention and help them learn. They used the narrative format in their presentation of material, as opposed to the more traditional magazine format, and structured every episode the same way.

Blue's Clues - Blue's Big Musical MovieReviewsI first rented this from Netflix and we ended up keeping it for more than a month. My girls (10m,2 1/2 and 4) couldn't get enough of it. I got it for my 4 year old on her birthday (Dec 25, 2009) and even after seeing it a gazillion times she wanted to watch it as soon as she saw the cover art. It is very entertaining and has a lot of re-playabilitly, even for parents. It is definitely great for those rainy days when they are bored. They really like the segment with G clef. It teaches a few music basics but don't expect your little ones to walk away with any understanding of music from this video, it is just good clean entertainment. Everything you expect from a Blue's Clues production. Timely delivery. Product arrived in good shape. Great Blues Clues for kids. Educational. My daughter could watch this 10 times in one day if I would let her. It is a great DVD. Blue is very funny and teaches kids all kinds of things. It is very nice to watch it and small kids love it. My daughter is learning different words from it and it teaches them how to solve problems or clues. Me & my son love Blue's Clues but we especially like Steve. My 2 year actually learned how to imitate singing by watching this. The songs are very catchy and not hard to listen to. Ray Charles even makes a guest appearence as G clef. The only reason I reluctantly gave this all Steve DVD movie is because of the length. Its great in the car but at home my son gets bored with it about a half hour through. But besides that I think its worth the price if you have a toddler thats a Blue's Clues junkie like my son. We have the movie, but we got it after someone gave us the score. The movie is ok, whatever, but disappointing after listening to the music and envisioning Blue's Big BROADWAY! Musical, not a boring old Blue's Clues episode. You know that little clip where they sing "Steve's got a silly hat"? That's a whole Samba number. "Why don't I ever find a clue like you..."? That part? The awesome-est bossanova. Every tiny clip in the movie is a full-on fabulous song. And some aren't even in the movie. "The magic of Theater" is especially fantastic. And the star of the show is Aleisha Allen as Sidetable Drawer -- she has two solo numbers and that girl can SING! Apparently the score is out of print. That is a tragedy, truly, because the music that Steve Burns and those kids made is really exceptional. I don't know who wrote the score and did the arrangements (because we've long since lost the cover art) but they are as sophisticated and listenable as the best of musical soundtracks. I'm ripping our copy to iTunes right now because eventually the cd will be unplayable and my four year old would cry and cry if we didn't have another copy. So would I. Average Rating:![]() |

Blue's Clues - Classic CluesReviewsMy girl's (11m, 2 1/2 years, 4 years) love Blue and would watch it from sun up to sun down if I let them. I really love the puppet episodes. I had to give them both a sock for their toy chest to play with at will after watching the sock puppet episode. Blue's Clues is by far the best children's show we have found. It is just good, clean educational fun without an agenda attached. The characters are all cute and likable, and they all have a lot of rewatchability, even for parents. My 2yr old just got into Blue's Clues and doesn't prefer Steve over Joe as far as we can tell but as parents we prefer Steve. His shows are a different pace and he has a more scholastic way of interacting with kids it seems. No offense to Joe, he's a great performer too and the 2yr old is just as engaged with him, but Steve's rythm was consistent on virtually every episode for the years he did the show. This DVD is all Steve so if your a Joe fan you won't find him. After several searches and reading several reviews this one seems to be the only DVD which offers Steve exclusively. As for content all the episodes are educational and engaging so really can't go wrong. Great product! Great DVD. It is fun for kids and educational as well. The DVD is long, has a great quality and is worse the money. After researching all the blue's clues DVD's. This is what I was looking for. 4 Episodes with just Steve. Besides the Blue's Musical Movie this is the only DVD to my knowledge with just Steve. No offense to Joe. My 20 month old will almost watch the whole thing & the best part is it's one of those DVD's that just automatically loops. Which is great in the car. If your a Blue's Clue fan or more particularly a Steve fan then this is the DVD for you. As with most Blue's Clues, these episodes hold my son's attention, are educational and really emphasize problem solving and creative thinking. The colors are bright and clear, the music is catchy, and the characters are likable. (Unlike the idiots who populate "Blue's Room" episodes. Ick.) You'll probably be forced to watch the shows multiple times, and you can amuse yourself contemplating Steve's cuteness. Also? There's a pink snail hidden in every episode, so you can test your powers of observation looking for him. Average Rating:![]() |

Blue's Clues - Blue's Room - Alphabet PowerReviewsI purchased this, due to my son has just discovered Blue's Clues and loves it. I was hoping that Blue's Room would be similar enough for him to like it, but it just isn't. Blue is annoying by talking directly to the camera and thus the child and saying "hey you" frequently. The fun they have in the room is also frenzied and just not enjoyable. I love the Blue's Clues episodes, but wish the whole video was Clues and not room. This is a great video, but the first video is Blue's room which is very different than Blue's Clues. But there are three Blue's Clues episodes included. It's a good video This is one of the best Blues Clues even though it is older. My 2 year old who has already learned to recognize, and say his alphabet loves watching tis series. It has so many ways of exposure to the alphabet that he has to watch it start to finish. Not to mention the price was amazing too. I would recommend this and the Shapes and Colors Blues clues for any 1-3 year old! I have always loved Blues Clues and now I love it even more. My 2.5 year old loves Blues Room, and this DVD is wonderful! He gets to watch all the cute characters, plus learn some letters along the way. Hello im french , my husband is american when we were in states (for holidays)i was attracted by the title and the trailer on her other dvd..we tried it and big success. they watch over and over and my daughter started (3) to write letters or sign them with her body... amazed thank blues clues. so i bought 2 more dvd. Blue's Clues - Magenta Comes Over [VHS]ReviewsReceived this item faster than expected. It was in good condition, playable too. Would purchase again from seller My grandson discovered Blue's Clues way after the fad had peaked, so it's hard to get Blue's Clues themed items for him now. He was coming to visit, and my truck has a VHS player in it. I ordered Magenta Comes Over to play on long rides, and he absolutely LOVED it. I'm extremely happy with my purchase - only one thing: I ordered a new one and the packaging looked kind of beat up when it arrived. It could be because its been sitting around on a shelf a long time, because I don't think they're making Blue's Clues video tapes any more. Since he's been born, I've watched my share of Blue's Clues (On Demand), and this is definitely one of the better episodes. I have a special girl who is now 33. She sits and watches these and signs and laughs whit them. Great stuff for the little guys. She is about 3 to 4 mentally. She has even learned some things from them. Grand kids love them also. hi i wached this with christian hes soo nice heelpfeelll we decided to wach this video with him itss soo nice that maganta comes over to stev and blues house it starts he re the phone rings its magenta blues friend but wgat does blue want to do? when magenta comes over? you gussed it steve and blue play blues cluesb to figorse out hat blue wants to do when magenta comes over in the 2nd epasode blue made a drawring? shev doesnot want to hang it up? find out while they play b;ues clues to figore out why she doesont want to hang her drawwring up? they help feltfriend get dressed and bake muffins with bowl and spthula then blue finly mails her drawring to magenta bye adriana As with all "Blue's Clues" videos, my 2-year-old daughter just loves this one! We have to keep Steve on the TV all day. My daughter knows all the songs, and she follows along with Steve and Blue's actions (waving, nodding, jumping, etc.). She has it all memorized. Oh, and a word of caution to all parents with toddlers who love Steve: there's a REALLY cute song at the beginning of this video called "Bedtime Business", in which Steve sings about getting ready for bed and bunny slippers and such. My daughter is OBSESSED with this song. We have to keep rewinding back to the beginning of the song like 8 times before she'll watch the rest of the video! Thank goodness this song is on the CD "Goodnight Blue", which fortunately we own! But the two episodes on this video are really cool. I highly recommend it! Oh, and there's a part where Steve and Blue are talking to Magenta on the phone, and it's so cute, because my daughter grabs her "Blue's Clues" phone and pretends she's talking to them, too! Yep, it's definitely one of her very favorite videos! Average Rating:![]() |

Blue's Clues - ABC's and 1,2,3's [VHS]ReviewsI have a special girl who is now 33. She sits and watches these and signs and laughs whit them. Great stuff for the little guys. She is about 3 to 4 mentally. She has even learned some things from them. Grand kids love them also. Excellent for the start of ABC and 123 - The ABC part is really a whole language reading lesson. Couple that with Dr. Suess's Hop on Pop and you can teach your kid to read. The 123 part teaches beginning addition. Very well done. The title fooled me I bought this viseo. I bought it for my home daycare. I thought this would video to learn letters and begining count. This video is more advanced than that. It teachs words and begining math. It's a fun and well made video. It's jst not great for 18 to 2 1/2 yr olds. For that age group I'd suggest getting Sesame Street - 123 Count With Me, Sesame Street - The Great Numbers Game, Leap Frog - Letter Factory, & Sesame Street - The Alphabet Jungle Game We've had this video for over 5 yrs. It is now making it's way into our 2nd son's video repetoire. My oldest absolutely loved Blue when he was 1 and 2 yo. These videos are helpful in that they teach thinking skills using fun songs and bright colors. It's no wonder that Blue's Clues is still in production all these years later. Average Rating:![]() |

Blue's Clues - Reading with Blue [VHS]ReviewsI have a special girl who is now 33. She sits and watches these and signs and laughs whit them. Great stuff for the little guys. She is about 3 to 4 mentally. She has even learned some things from them. This is our favorite blues clues video. My daughter loves the big words and loves using them ,this video definitely promotes her vocabulary, she now says things like "what an enormous ball".Its also great for teaching basic reading skills and getting familiar with words. The video follows the same basic scenario all the blues clues videos follow, where blue leaves clues for Steve to figure out. Average Rating:![]() |

Dog Cake Decorations - Assorted Colors DOG BONES EDIBLE Candy Confetti Sprinkles for Cakes, Cupcakes & CookiesReviewsThese cake sprinkles are excellent for your PUPPY PARTY, but don't just use them for the cupcakes! Consider putting them on the tables as edible table confetti. It's very festive and if your little ones eat them, then there are no worries. Or make a yummy ice cream soda and top with whipped cream and few of these sprinkles. It all adds to the fun of a dog gone good DOG PARTY! And for your dog birthday, be sure to look also on Amazon for bone shaped cookie cutters, bone shaped cake molds, vending machine dog toys, and dog bone shaped candy molds (make chocolate bones for human consumption).Human Bones Candy Molds These fun ideas will make your puppy party truly memorable. Excellent "dinosaur" bones to use on cookies and cupcakes. Would also look great on sides of cakes when used like confetti. Variety of colors will go with any color scheme. Tiny enough to eliminate worry of choking hazard for small children. Also would allow bigger kids a mouthful of color with each bite. Average Rating:![]() |

Plug 'N Play Blues Clues Coloring With Blue TV GamesReviewsVery disappointing. Graphics and color are awful and VERY hard to make out on the screen. The joystick is a joke! My 2 year old and 4 year old can't move it where they want it to go, so I always have to put the paw print where they want it and then they can click it. As another person said, there really is NO EXCUSE for such bad quality in a product these days. DO NOT BUY THIS...YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! My 2 year old daughter loves this game. Mostly she just loves to look at the pictures on the screen and listen to the sound effects. She hasn't figured out how to play it yet. The controller is very hard to use. It sort of floats around the screen on it's own. There are no instructions. I got this for my son for his 3rd birthday. At first he had some trouble navigating with the joy stick, but now at 3.5yrs old he has a blast finding polkadot and painting all by himself. I recommend this toy for all those parents who want their kids to have an age appropriate video game! The game is suggested for ages over 5 however my son is 4 and he got bored with it very quickly as there really is not much to it. Its cute and the graphics are good. There are 3 games on it, the stamping one bored him, the hide and seek was better but he liked painting the characters the best. I kept thinking that I didn't know how to work the joystick. Come to find out there was nothing to the stupid game. My daughter played it 1 time in a year! I don't even think it is worthy of a garage sale! Average Rating:![]() |

The result, Blue's Clues, has been called "one of the most successful, critically acclaimed, and ground-breaking preschool television series of all time". Author Malcolm Gladwell called the show "perhaps the 'stickiest'—meaning the most irresistible and involving—television show ever". Its innovative use of research, technology, and interactive content has influenced its genre since its debut, including the "gold standard of preschool TV programs" that inspired it, Sesame Street. It became the highest-rated show for preschoolers on commercial television, and received nine Emmy awards. Its efficacy in teaching children using the media of television has been documented in research studies.
Blue's Clues, shown in over sixty countries, was hosted by Steve Burns, who left the show to pursue a music career in 2002, and Donovan Patton. A spin-off called Blue's Room premiered in 2004.
